Rules & Policies - Tashua Knolls Golf Course

Booking Tee Time Reservations

Tee Times can be reserved online up to 7 days in advance beginning at 5:30am (i.e. book online at 5:30am on Sunday for the following Sunday, and so on for each day).
Reservations can also be made in person in the Pro Shop. We do not accept phone calls in order to reserve tee times.
A valid credit card must be entered when a tee time is booked. We do not accept online pre-payments, so credit cards will never be charged for the reservation at the time it is booked. The credit card on file merely holds the tee time and discourages abuse of the reservation system (please view cancellation policy/fees below).

No-Show and Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy for All Regular Tee Times (excludes “first wave” of Saturday, Sunday & Holiday Mornings)

a. Tee times may be cancelled up to 5pm of the day before the scheduled playing time.

b. If a tee time has been made and not cancelled prior to 5pm of the day before the scheduled playing time, and golfers fail to appear for their scheduled tee time (i.e. no-shows), the golfer who made the tee time will be charged the resident walking 18-hole rate for each golfer who doesn’t appear, unless the tee time has been subsequently filled.

Cancellation Policy for Saturday, Sunday & Holiday Mornings (i.e. “first wave”, first 2 hours of tee times)

a. Tee times may be cancelled up to 5pm, 3 days prior to the scheduled tee time (i.e. 5pm Wednesday for Saturday and 5pm Thursday for Sunday); however a $15 per golfer cancellation fee ($60 per foursome) will be charged to the golfer who made the original tee time.

b. Cancellations made after this 3 day, 5pm deadline will result in a charge to the golfer who made the reservation of the resident walking 18-hole rate for each cancelled reservation.

c. If a tee time has been made and not cancelled, and golfers fail to appear for their scheduled tee time (i.e. no-shows), the golfer who made the reservation will be charged the resident walking 18-hole rate for each golfer who doesn’t appear. Further, in the absence of inclement weather, no-shows will be considered an abuse of the system.

NOTE: Tee times can now be cancelled or modified online, by logging in through our reservation portal and clicking My Account -- My Reservations.

Dress Code

Men must wear collared shirts, mock, or turtleneck attire.
Women may wear sleeveless or collarless tops, mock, or turtleneck attire.
All players must wear soft spikes or sneakers on the golf course.
The following are not allowed for play: short shorts, cutoffs, blue jeans, workout clothing, tennis shorts, tank tops, halter tops, men's sleeveless shirts, or any clothing exhibiting tasteless messages.
Children 10-years old and younger are exempt from the above unless they wear ripped, overly worn, or attire with tasteless messages.
Tashus Knolls is a soft spike golf course. If you still have steel spikes, our Pro Shop has a complete assortment of replacement spikes and shoes for your convenience and shop staff will be glad to help

Security & Trespassing

The premises are being monitored by camera at all times.
Trespassers, dog-walkers, bicycle-riders, picnickers, sledders, skiers or any other unauthorized person shall not be permitted to walk, ride, or rest on golf course premises. Golf course premises includes cart paths, parking lots, and other areas around buildings.
There shall no hunting, fishing, carrying or discharging of firearms, nor the use of any kind of weapon on the courses or the adjacent property owned by the Town of Trumbull. Exception: game warden or police as necessitated by possible danger from wildlife to the golfing public.

Golf Cars

*You must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver's license on file at Tashua in order to rent or operate a golf car. Please have your license with you to be scanned when you check in.
Golf Car Rental Agreement: For and inconsideration of the rental of the above Golf Car to me, I promise and agree to return said Golf Car immediately following completion of stipulated round of play in as good condition as I received same, normal wear being excepted. I promise and agree to pay for any damages that are sustained to the said Golf Car, other than normal wear, while the same is in my possession. I promise and further agree to hold this Golf Club, the Golf Pro, and the Rental Company or any of its agents free and harmless from any damages or claims of any nature whatsoever that may arise from or through my use of said Golf Car. I can operate same. Golf Car operators must have a valid driver's license and be 18 years of age or older.
Players renting golf cars are reminded to use care in operating their vehicle to prevent injury to themselves or other golfers, as well as to prevent damage to the golf course.
All cars must stay at least 30 feet from tee boxes and putting greens.
If cart path is provided, please keep golf cars on asphalt paths around the tees and greens.
Players with handicap carts are allowed inside ropes and must park at least 25 feet from green surfaces unless a handicap indicator is provided for you at the hole.

Tee Time Check-In

All golfers must register at least 15 minutes prior to your tee time. Our starter's will expect your full group to be waiting on deck 10 minutes prior to your scheduled tee time.
The pro shop is not responsible for you being late. Golfers registering after this time period may lose their previously scheduled time. If a group member is running late, please pay for them and our staff will graciously escort them out to you.
Please arrive to the first tee prepared to play. We recommend having your extra tees, balls, ball markers in your pocket prior to arriving to the first tee.

Pace of Play Policy

GOALS: 9-hole round (2 hours, 10 minutes); 18-hole round (4 hours, 20 minutes)
In order to achieve these goals, every group must strive to keep pace with the group in front of them. Please keep in mind it only takes one group to slow the pace of play and ruin the enjoyment of the round for those stacked up behind the slow group. Player Assistants will be on the course to determine if a group is "out of position"

A Flag System will be employed on the carts of our Player Assistants:

If a Player Assistant approaches your group displaying a green flag, you are on pace.
If a Player Assistant approaches your group displaying a yellow flag, you will be informed, politely, that you are out of position and will be asked to pick up your pace
If, upon returning in about 15 minutes, the Player Assistant is displaying a red flag, you should consider that you are seriously out of position. The Player Assistant will stay with your group and try to help you improve your pace of play.
If your group cannot regain position with the help of the Player Assistant, he may ask your gorup to move to the proper position designated by the Player Assistant.
