Tashua Knolls Golf Course
Tashua Knolls is a par 72 golf course, stretching 6,540 yards from the championship tees. The layout is sure to challenge beginners and accomplished golfers alike, with strategically placed bunkers, water hazards, and hole layouts that will influence your club selection. The Knolls is widely recognized as a premier public golf course in the state of Connecticut. A few of its many accolades include being the first public golf course to host the Connecticut Amateur Championship in 2017, and the Connecticut State Golf Association’s “Distinguished Club of the Year” Award in 2021. Tashua Knolls is definitely a “must play” on your list this season!
Tashua Glen Golf Course
Tashua Glen is a 9-hole public golf course located adjacent to the Tashua Knolls 18-hole championship course in the Town of Trumbull. Completed in 2005, Tashua Glen had been in the planning stages for nearly two decades and was designed by course architect Michael Zikorus, son of Al Zikorus – designer of the original 18-hole Tashua Knolls layout in the mid 1970s.
Tashua Glen is pleased to be the first course in Connecticut recognized as a Family Course by the National Golf Course Owners Association. The length of many golf courses takes away some of the fun of learning to play golf. Many 18-hole courses measure 5,000 yards from the forward tees — still too long for kids and adult beginners. A Family Course set-up adds two additional tee locations (Yellow at 3,750 yards and Green at 2,200 yards) so the entire family can enjoy their round together. That said, the terrain and tight landing areas of the Glen still provide an appropriate challenge for all golfers, making it a popular family-friendly gem that even the most experienced golfers can enjoy.
